The first residents put down roots in what is now known as Bainbridge in 1811 - the area grew to be a farming town and was officially designated as a township of Geauga County in 1817.
Bainbridge Township now covers 25 square miles and is home to just over 11,000 residents.
Bainbridge has four community parks that are accessible to the public including: Heritage Park, Centerville Mills, River Road Park and Settler’s Park offering walking trails, playgrounds and picnic shelter areas. Bainbridge is also home to Frohring Meadows, which is a part of the Geauga Park District and is a wonderful place to explore and learn more about nature - several educational programs are held there throughout the year.
One of Bainbridge’s attractive attributes is the instant freeway access to route 422. From planned subdivisions to large expansive lots, Bainbridge has something for everyone in the housing market.
Both Bainbridge and Auburn are served by the Kenston School District, which is regularly recognized on both a state and national level for strong academics and an up to date learning environment.
